Fitball
Improve muscle tone, balance, strength, coordination and posture with our fun stability ball body therapy. Build your core strength and balance with techniques that are excellent for abdominal and back muscles. Learn in the class, and then take away invaluable skills to further develop as you continue to use a fitball at home or in the office.
Myofascial release and stretch
Learn a simple technique to reduce muscle soreness, release tension, and realign the body using a foam roller. Work with us in the studio, learn the theory behind the technique, and be empowered to take the teaching home with you and continue benefiting from the practice in your daily life.
Pilates

Guided Walk
Awaken your body and mind with a scenic daily walk before breakfast as our team guide you around the pristine grounds of our retreat and nearby golf course. With the walks graded and marked, you will be able to measure your progress throughout your stay and challenge yourself to complete the longest walk prior to going home.
Boot Camp
Not for the faint of heart, our Boot Camp will challenge your body with an intense outdoor group fitness class. This combination of high intensity cardiovascular, strength training and functional movement exercises is sure to push you, but only to your safe limits. Fresh air, a natural setting, and positive group energy makes this class a highlight for people who love pushing themselves during exercise.
Cardio Box
Increase your hand-eye coordination and enjoy an invigorating cardiovascular experience with our partner boxing workout. Using gloves and focus mitts, the emphasis is on honing your punching technique, stance and footwork. Mentoring also includes body weight exercises and cardio drills.
Deep Water Running
If you’re looking for a movement experience that helps strengthen your body and builds flexibility without putting pressure on your joints, then this aqua exercise class may be just what you’re after. Using a flotation device that suspends you in the water, this is an effective aerobic workout with added resistance. No stress to joints and muscles, it is suitable for anyone who has physical limitations as well as suitable for non-swimmers.
Gym Circuit
Keep your heart rate elevated and develop improved muscle tone with a total body workout using both resistance and cardiovascular training machines. Through this unique combination, you can enjoy a time efficient shortcut to overall conditioning and increased wellness in both body and mind.
Hike
Hiking benefits your heart, mind and body while you enjoy the great outdoors with fresh air and stunning scenery. Lower your stress levels, improve your mood and enhance your mental wellbeing when you join our team on Saturday morning for a 10km hike through some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Hunter Valley.
Indoor Cycling
Join our indoor group cycling experience where the key is to have fun and get fit. Indoor cycling helps you lose weight not only by burning kilojoules but through its potential to strengthen and tone your body, creating a greater muscle mass to burn more energy at rest. Our class incorporates a fun, athletic cardiovascular cycling workout, which will leave you feeling invigorated, de-stressed and full of vitality.
Indoor Hockey
Have fun and socialise with a friendly game using plastic hockey sticks and puck. Everybody’s welcome and you can go as fast or as slow as you like. You don’t even need any prior hockey skills to get involved. It’s a great way to burn some energy, strengthen your heart and lungs and have a laugh all at the same time.
Racquet Sports
Have fun in a supportive environment with a relaxed game of badminton, tennis or table tennis. This activity is suitable for all abilities and has something for anyone who loves a social game. Don’t know how to play? No worries, we’ll teach you the basics.
Water Polo
As with all of our team games, during water polo you’ll be having too much fun to notice what a great full body workout you’re getting. It’s easy and safe for anyone to get involved, thanks to our ‘no contact’ unlimited swim rules with buoyancy aids for extra support.
Tennis Fit
Contact our Wellness Coordinators to organise a booking on one of our two synthetic courts and enjoy the many health benefits of playing tennis. As well as an opportunity for fresh air and fun, getting active on the tennis court can help you lose weight, increase your cardiovascular fitness, build strength and flexibility, and improve metabolic function.

Join the fun and get involved with one of our volleyball sessions, which is a great way to get active and socialise at the same time. Not a contact sport and no skill required, just an enthusiasm to get involved and have some fun. Our rules allow anyone and everyone to join in and have a laugh.

Booking Terms and Conditions
- Prices are per person
- Guests must be 18 years or over to attend the retreat
- No upfront payment is required to secure reservations.
- Our coordinators will contact you within 72 hours to process a $550 per person deposit, with the final balance due 6 weeks before arrival. We are also happy to assist with your spa and wellness preferences.
- Spa & Wellness consultations are set for each package, should you wish to discuss altering the inclusions please speak with our retreat coordinators prior to booking.
- Additional nights’ accommodation can be added to your 3-night stay, for an additional nightly rate of $450 per person, this includes your accommodation, all meals and access to the wellness activities.

- Payments are non-refundable but may be transferred within a 12 month period (fees apply); variance in price will apply beyond 12 month period
- If you need to postpone within 14 days of your arrival, a date amendment fee of $550 is payable (per person)

- All credit/debit card payments made to Oaks Hotels & Resorts via an onsite payment system will incur a 1.5% non-refundable credit card service fee in Australia. New Zealand onsite payments incur a 2% (VISA, MASTERCARD), 2% (AMEX) or 3.35% (DINERS) non-refundable credit card service fee.

There is free under cover parking available for guest’s vehicles at the retreat.
Before you arrive
We strongly recommend:
Prior to your arrival you reduce or cease the consumption of sugar, alcohol, tobacco and caffeine in the week prior to your arrival. It is our experience that your stay with us will be much more rewarding if you are able to remove or significantly reduce these substances from your diet prior to arrival.
Special dietary requirements:
Please advise our reservations team if you have any dietary requirements such as food allergies or intolerances.
Packing list:
- Whether during the day or at night, you will always feel comfortable in casual wear at Elysia Wellness Retreat
- Please bring practical shoes for walking and exercise to make your stay more enjoyable.
- Swimwear should be packed for those planning to use our pool or spa facilities.
- In the cooler months, warm clothing is recommended for early morning and later afternoon outdoor activities. Gloves and headwear are useful in the winter for colder periods of the day.
Restricted items:

Wi-Fi:
All villas at Elysia have a basic Wi-Fi connection suitable for viewing of emails or webpages, this connection is however not suitable for large downloads or uploading of documents or streaming services. If you do have work of this nature to attend to during your stay we would recommend you hotspot off your mobile device or bring your own wi-fi device with you.
At Elysia Wellness Retreat we strongly encourage our guests to disconnect from their everyday life, including work emails/calls, social media, however we understand that life must still go on whilst you are at Elysia and you may need to connect with family or action some urgent emails. Should this be the case we request that you confine this to within your villa.
